Hi There,
I’m Sophie
To begin, I completed a three-year diploma in fashion design, and I worked for emerging Canadian fashion brands as a sample production manager and as a lead stylist for high profile shows.
Then, I completed an Honours Bachelor of Commerce (BAC+4) in marketing. Afterwards, I conducted research for the Department of Canadian Heritage and provided them with recommendations to better support the Canadian fashion industry and increase exports of its goods.
Furthermore, I worked for two of the biggest Canadian fashion department and specialty stores which allowed me to gain a 360-degree view of a large-scale retailer’s operations. I gained a deep understanding of their buying & merchandising, product design & development, procurement, distribution centre, allocation, e-commerce, visual merchandising and photo studio departments along with their retail operations.
Additionally, I have also always been thrilled to be involved in numerous personal projects where I worked to raise awareness and demand for Canadian fashion goods.
Finally, I also worked as a business consultant at Ernst & Young LLP (the “Firm”), deeply involved within the Consumer market segment.
Check out my resume here.
